Friday night's 01/07/22 Mega Millions jackpot was worth $278 million, with a cash-value option worth $193.0 million.

The winning numbers on Tuesday (01/04/22) for the $253 million jackpot were: 04-06-16-21-22 with a Mega Ball of 01. The Megaplier was 3x.

There was no grand prize winner on Tuesday, but there were four tickets sold—one each in Florida, Georgia, Indiana and New York—that matched the first five white balls, and minus the gold Mega Ball, for the game's second prize of $1 million. Had they purchased the Megaplier for an extra $1, their second prizes would have been worth $3 million.

There were 34 tickets sold nationwide on Tuesday that matched four of the five white balls and the Mega Ball for the $10,000 third prize. Eleven of those purchased the Megaplier for an extra $1, which made their third-prize winnings worth $30,000 apiece.
