McCollum started performing right from his elementary school days, this was because he fell in love with music at an early age. He went on his tour with the Texas band Six Market Blvd, and he released his first single titled ‘Highway’ on June 5, 2013. Parker later debuted an EP titled A Red Town View and he released it on November 19, 2013. He debuted his album titled The Limestone Kid in 2015. The album contained eleven tracks, nine was written by him and two by his family members and the album was mostly about his experiences growing up in Limestone County, Texas.

In 2017, he released an EP titled Probably Wrong: Session One and he did so on July 7, 2017, and the EP went on to appear at the No. 6 position on the Billboard Charts and sold over 2,000 copies in the United States. On June 27, 2019, he signed a music record deal with Universal Music Group and he released his first single under them titled ‘Pretty Heart’.
