BUYING clothes online can feel like gambling – how will your newest find actually fit when it arrives?

One woman tried on her metallic SKIMS swimwear for her followers, and when she asked for feedback, she found many of them were in agreement.

The metallic cycle swimsuit is part of Kim Kardashian's latest SKIMS launch. It's a super-trendy silhouette right now, reminiscent of 80s and 90s athleticwear.

A TikTok user named Emily ordered the suit in silver, gold, and rose gold, then asked her followers for honest feedback.

"Alright, y'all, be honest," she instructed her followers. "I was supposed to go to a pool party tomorrow."

Sporting the silver cycling suit, Emily turned around in front of the mirror.

She showed off the outfit in its entirety. It came down to just above her knees, and the silver fabric provided ample coverage while also lifting her chest.

"Do I look like an idiot?" she asked her viewers. "Everyone out here is making fun of me."

Her followers were gentle, but as requested, they shared their honest opinions.

"Emily, you’re beautiful but with all due respect that is not the swimsuit for you," one viewer wrote. "I think you’d look gorgeous in something else."

A different viewer told Emily how she would feel in the same situation. "I think I would not be able to handle the fabric," the woman wrote. "I hate tight clothing."

"Maybe not," a commenter said bluntly. "Wear to sleep in. Sorry!"

Some commenters were in favor of the swimsuit – or supported it with modifications.

"Wear a sheer cover up, black or white," a commenter suggested.

But the most vocal group was those who thought she should send the swimsuits back immediately.

"Nope nope nope," wrote one.

"I'm not a fan, sorry" said another.

Emily ended up listening to the advice of the commentariat. She didn't just leave the swimsuit at home during the pool party.

"I created a return label," she announced in a comment after the verdicts rolled in. "Thanks for the advice."

And she wasn't offended by the viewers' honesty, either. "Y'all are too nice," she added in a second comment.
